Discussion : Live demo on Ubuntu installation and Intro to Applications
Mr. Nagarajan showed Ubuntu installation demo on his system in the dual boot mode to the newcomers. He explained why swap area, how much size it should be and hard disk partitions for Ubuntu OS. Meanwhile, Mr. Shrinivasan explained different kind of file systems such as ext2, ext3, ext4, btrfs(its feature like snapshots), ReiserFS.
After the installation, We gave the introduction to the software applications available in Ubuntu.
Finally, We distributed the Ubuntu CD to the newcomers.
